Really good food and service - 100%. Met for dinner with a Meet-Up Group last night. Our table service from "Devonte" was fabulous, and the food our group of six had was deliciousness - Starting with the Baked Cinnamon Cornbread.

Pros: The Asian guy host was very nice. He actually smiled and look at me. Server: 1 star! First, when did restaurant allow servers not to put their long hair tied up. He’s walking around his hair swinging around and delivering your food. Second, a personality of a chalk board. No hi, just your mechanical server. He gave me my food didn’t even look or say “enjoy.” Just literally put my food on the table. Never once asked if everything was okay. He asked that once I was done with my food and the manager already picked up my plate. I know it seems petty, but it is the bare minimum if you are working with customers. I had him before too and same attitude. I normally give 20% or more tip, but this time I just gave him 15%. I don’t know how tips works if it’s just for him or share with others. Otherwise, I would have not left a tip. Server at 1230 pm (10/21) a young Black man with long curly hair.

Maydan came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Just walking into the restaurant you know you’ve arrived somewhere special. The tandoor grill greets you with a delicious smell. We did the full tasting menu. My favorite part of the menu were the dips- the Havuc was my favorite while my sisters favorite dip was Muhammara. Both were so rich in flavor - I could’ve eaten those and the bread and pickled veggies for a full meal. The shrimp we got was perfectly grilled with a barbecue-esk flavor- delicious. The cauliflower was a stunning last main dish. The chocolate mouse was a perfect end to the meal. I will dream about this food.

Came in for dinner early Sunday. Food was awesome. Service was very nice and attentive. Can't wait to go again. only complaint was that some of the items came out a bit slow, but nothing too crazy. We came with a 1 year old and there were no issues. They put us on a nice table in the corner of the second floor which was awesome.

The food at Doi Moi is good, but the service is absolutely pathetic. My friends and I were so excited for weekend bottomless brunch, but our waitress completely ruined the experience. She was so unbelievably rude that I actually felt scared to ask for more than one small plate at a time, like I was doing something wrong just by being a customer and asking for an extra plate. Either management hasn't trained her at all, or she is just plain hostile. Good food doesn't matter when terrible service puts everyone in a crappy mood and ruins your entire day. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I hope management actually sees this.

What an amazing brunch. Food was excellent. The esthetics were wonderful. Loved the $15 unlimited drinks and small plate. The service form our waiter was so awesome. He was so intentional thoughtful and even brought more positivity. Can't wait to go back.

Went here for happy hour!! Will say that service was sorta slow but the staff were really nice. Our food was sorta cold so they helped reheat it. Highly recommend the mambo wings. Really good vibes and music

Burger was good fries were cold. I informed the Bartender my fries were cold then some gentleman came out looked at me didn’t say anything and I looked at him and said my fries were cold. He said “cold” repeating what I just said & I said yes he walked away with an attitude. I then asked the Bartender was he the manager she replied No he was a server, first of all there are plenty of black owned restaurants or people of color restaurants in the city to not have good service. The burger was actually good but the way the server handled the situation was not pleasant and then he proceeded to take the whole plate with my burger on it. That was cooked perfectly without giving a side plate. It was just weird. The drinks are overpriced for the pour, but I loved the vibes not sure if I’ll be back. there’s so many options in DC
